Very simple but straightforward way to reason about losing weight. I have lived on only hospital formula and Hydralyte for 30 months now – meaning that I haven’t eaten for that long and won’t ever eat again as I’ve had both large and small bowel removed. I thought the tips were constructive and made total sense. The only permanent way to lose weight is to eat better and exercise more. Common sense – unfortunately common sense isn’t all that common. Thanks for the tips! The only thing I’d add specifically is that the message from the brain to tell us we’re satiated takes 20 minutes to process – meaning we’re often overeating during that time. Chewing food and drinking water are the best ways to slow our eating down until that signal kicks in. Unfortunately I’m ALWAYS hungry. I find it strange that because I haven’t eaten in so long, people often assume I’m not hungry or I’ve become used to it. Not so! It’s awful not having anything hot (I’m not able to have tea or coffee either). Really – eating healthy food is not that hard – buy good ingredients and cut out the high calorie and high fat processed food.
