In order to burn more calories you need to increase your metabolism.

Weight train is the BEST way to increase your metabolism. Not only do you burn calories while exercising, but larger muscles muscles burn more calories all day long, even when you’re sleeping.

Don’t worry about getting really big muscles. It’s very difficult for females to get really muscular looking, they have to spend hours every day in the gym and even then it usually still requires supplemental chemicals.

If you are already doing weight training then try adding High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT, google it).

Studies have shown that HIIT can increase your metabolism for up to 36 hours.
Exercises like Zumba on the other hand only increase your metabolism for an hour or two.

FWIW as the others have said your calorie intake might be too low, you didn’t mention your age so it’s hard to be sure. For example if you’re in your 20s you should be eating closer to about 1400 calories a day. If you’re in your 50s-60s then 1200 is ok.

There are numerous things that affect your metabolism but one of the important ones is your calorie intake. The more you eat, the higher your metabolism runs, and vice versa.
If you go too low then your body really cuts back your metabolism as it tries to conserve stored fat reserves. This can make it very hard to lose weight.

As odd as it sounds, often times eating a little more will make it easier to lose weight.
